The table
Photograph what you own.
Put it on any mat.
Photograph the tiles you already own, or take a screenshot of some you want to buy, and the app lifts them off the background. Drop them onto any mat, add racks in any color, and flick through combinations on a single canvas.
Real dimensions
The table can be laid out from real American Mahjong dimensions or showcase scale. A tile in the middle is the same tile that is in the wall, so what you are judging is the real proportion.
Racks are an axis
Not a decoration. Wood, lucite and acrylic, straight or scalloped, in a color from the preset row or anywhere on the wheel. Each one is drawn from a real cross-section, so it sits on the mat like an object.

Mark what is actually in your cupboard and the app keeps count. Yours shows only the tables you could really set tonight, out of what you own.
Name the night, say how many tables you are running, from one to eight, and dress each one from your own shelves. The app refuses the fourth table's mat when you only own three, tells you which table has nothing on it, and lists what is left over.
Being told you are one rack set short the week before, rather than the hour of, is the whole point of it.
Pull the chain and the light goes low and warm, the way it will be on the night you are shopping for.
The lamp in the header does the same thing to this page. It is on by default, because mats read better against the warm dark.

One Bam Board is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any tile maker, mat maker, or card publisher. You supply the product images yourself; the app does not include or distribute any. The extraction runs on your phone. There is no server behind this app, no advertising SDK, and no tracking prompt.
FAQ
A few answers.
Do I have to own the tiles already?
No. Photograph the tiles you already own, or take a screenshot of some you want to buy. If you do own them, mark them as yours and the app starts planning around your actual cupboard as well.
Where do my photos go?
Nowhere. The extraction runs on your device, and what you import is stored in your own iCloud. We run no server for this app, no third-party analytics, and no advertising.
Is this a mahjong game?
No. It previews the table, not the hands. Nothing is played, scored, wagered or ranked here. It is the step before the game, when you are still deciding what to buy.
Does it work with any tile set and mat?
Any that you can photograph. The app builds the layout itself rather than lifting a pre-composed one, so it needs three things off the picture: the face grid, one tile back for the walls, and a box around a single tile to set the scale.
When can I get it?
It is in build for iPhone. The table, the import, the planner and the sharing all work; the purchase and the last round of testing do not yet. When they do, it goes to the App Store. Write to us if you want to hear when.
